A short film about tabletennis
Two years ago I came up with this idea of table tennis players playing indefinitely. They keep each other in balance. From there came the idea of sides: who is right, who is the winner, on which side are you? You can translate that into about everyday that is happening. Your truth is not my truth. From there I stumbled on the philosophy of taoism. Taoism suggests that opposites only exist through each other, and that harmony is found in the continuous exchange between them. From that point I carried out this project. The two players continue till eternity, until the game breaks and the players give a handshake to each other. Understanding the game, and more importantly, each other. That core, in my opinion, is crucial to everything that is happing today.
